PERSONAL

Happily married, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, niece, aunt, friend... my family and friends ground my life on the planet. I've moved many times, and lived all over the country. My ancestors were born in Ireland, Scotland, England, Germany, Italy, Greece, Scandinavia, etc. I have a BA with highest honors in English from Rutgers University. I was raised in a Unitarian Universalist congregation, almost exclusively Humanist in orientation. I have a good foundation in the rational. According to Myers Briggs, I'm an INFP - an idealist, and happily, "The Healer!" A shamanic practitioner in central New Jersey, I offer private sessions, training, and community circles.

Ordinary Reality Work

For many years, I managed a small community television station located in a large public library; and for a few years I served as marketing director for an international botanicals manufacturing company. I can relate to "real" world issues people face in their daily lives.

Reiki

I trained in Johrei (White Light) Reiki with Maureen David; and Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki with Sharda Sharma, MD; and Anneliese Mueller. I've practiced Reiki since 1999, and most enjoy empowering people by teaching them the practice for themselves. I volunteered for hospice as a Reiki practitioner for four years, and was honored to work with many people and their families. Even before I was introduced to shamanism, my Reiki practice was shamanic.

Shamanic Training

I have been practicing shamanism since 2003, and am honored to have trained with exceptional teachers. They include:
Betsy Bergstrom (2-Year Compassionate Depossession Teachers' Training, 2-Year Wheel of Life Middleworld Program, Curse & Thoughtform Unraveling, Mediumship & Seidr, Chöd Practice; I sponsored Betsy to teach on the east coast from 2010 -2013);
Sandra Ingerman (Soul Retrieval, Way of the Shaman);
Nan Moss & David Corbin (Foundation for Shamanic Studies 3-Year Program, Dying & Beyond, Extraction,  Cloud Dancing, Weather Shamanism);
Elaine Egidio (Medicine for the Earth, Dream Work);
Carol Proudfoot Edgar & Susan Gilliland (Ancestral Shamanism, Bear & Buffalo Medicine, Medicine of the Northeastern Woodlands, Shaman's Body);
Tom Cowan (Return of the Sidhe, Faerie Doctoring, Cauldrons of the Soul);
Myron Eshowsky (Peacemaking, Shamanism & the Healing of Cancer);
Francesca Mason Boring (Systemic Constellations Facilitators Training 2015)
Lama Tsering Wangdu Rinpoche holds a special place in my heart. Through him have come the blessings of meditation and Chöd.

Systems Constellations

Constellation work involves stepping into the Knowing Field: working with energetic fields to increase the flow of love in family systems, and to facilitate healthy relationships with Nature, and in business and organizations. Constellation work, like Reiki, dovetails harmoniously with a shamanic approach. I completed a year-long program of Systemic Constellation Facilitators training in 2015 with Francesca Mason Boring and have integrated it in my practice.
